Free Pattern Wednesday: Octopuss

I recently had the absolute delight in test knitting for Bethany Hendrickson, an absolutely amazing designer! I feel pretty silly that I didn't notice her pattern go live, but here it is on ravelry! It's a direct download from ravelry here.

Shark In the Water

This knit shark by Faye Sweeney is super cute :)  The website takes time to load, which sucks, but keep at it! It's worth the long loading time.

I still can't knit! It's so hard looking for patterns, because it makes me so depressed, but I'll do it for you, internet. You deserve things like this.

What!? Who!?

I'm like, hopping up and down with happiness, because out there back on the internet now are... DR. WHO Patterns! How awesome!

I was snooping about on ravelry, and I swear I might've wet myself, if it wasn't 8 AM.

Anyway, there's a knitted Dalek, which I'm afraid of (the Dalek, not the pattern), and a Stuffed Tardis brought to you by this person, (and, of course, this person!) There's also the dearest, cutest Adipose that BBC forced Mazzmatazz to take down. It's been saved in the annals of death by copyright.

Although the issue hasn't been solved and the BBC still kind of sucks, at least there's knitting to be done. How can something that thought up something so adorable be so, so evil? Hopefully more patterns will return, or maybe I'm just a month behind the news and they have, somewhere.

The Sun's Gunna Come Out!

Brain Slug, oh my!

So hey, I'm a member of Ravelry now! Hooray! Aren't you excited? I am, I'm officially addicted.

Well, it turns out all our internet prayers couldn't help my Grandmother. . . She passed away Friday, at around 9 PM.

I'm probably going to take the week off from school. . . meaning I'll have time to knit and stuff.

Hehe, I couldn't resist when I found this while surfing the net! I felt a warm glow spread throughout my heart, just imagining what I could do with this idea. That coupled with Knitty's Rubber Caddy. . . well, you can imagine the gag gifts. I can only imagine. . .

Work on my onigiri is stalled since I can't get new needles for. . . lord knows how long. I have size 3, though, so I'll just redesign. Until then, I'm working on a straight needle bunny akin to what I posted by the lazy knitter. Such inspiration ^_^, thanks, lazy!

Too Cute Hat!

Okay, another non-amigurumi pattern... but an adorable one, at that! This bonnet from Hello Yarn is versatile and, of course, can be embellished with anything you wish - cat ears, bunny ears... totoro ears!

The possibilities are totally endless, and, what's cooler is... there are adult sizes!

Flowers in the Fall
